Simple to say, simple to remember.

A new identity for Dal Bistecca, a butcher's shop with more than thirty years of history: quality meats aged to the right point, good cheeses and cured meats. Simplicity in the name, the logo and the colours: a ten-point badge in the green, white and red of the Italian flag, an engraved bull, a handwritten "dal" and a stamped BISTECCA. The badge goes everywhere customers meet the shop: the sign, the windows, the floor, the counter, the team's clothes and the shopping bag.

The brief

What was needed

A butcher's shop with more than thirty years of history needed a makeover and, above all, a clear image. Customers should always remember where they bought that good meat.

The idea

How it was solved

Simplicity in the name, the logo and the colours: a ten-point badge in the colours of the Italian flag with an engraved bull. The badge goes wherever customers meet the shop, from the sign to the shopping bag.

Where the good meat comes from.

01 · The badge

A ten-point star.

The shape of a prize rosette or a quality seal: the shop's promise of good meat. The outline, the ring and the fill repeat the Italian flag, as the sign says too: "carni nazionali", Italian meat.

  1. Green, white, redThe colours of the Italian flag, echoing "carni nazionali" on the sign.
  2. The bullAn engraved head, drawn in line like an old butcher's print, half hidden behind the name.
  3. "dal" + BISTECCAA handwritten "dal" and a stamped, worn-in BISTECCA: how people say it, "I buy my meat dal Bistecca".

The sign and window decals are real (shop photo). Sweatshirt, cap, t-shirts, floor sticker, tote, flavoured-salt packaging and the badge over the counter are presentation mock-ups. The salt box was recreated in 3D from the original mock-up.
