A letter wound like a coil.

Ciriacono has designed and built custom electrical transformers in Busto Arsizio, Italy, since 1980. The new identity starts from the product itself: the C is drawn with three parallel lines that wrap around a common centre like the windings of a coil. A bold red, a technical grey and plenty of white space carry the system from business cards and letterhead to an 8-page brochure and the company website.

The brief

What was needed

Founded by Giacomo Ciriacono and still run by the family, the company needed an identity as precise as its products. It had to move from a nameplate to a brochure, a business card and a website without losing its edge.

The idea

How it was solved

The C is drawn with three parallel lines that turn around one centre and fold back at the ends, the way copper wire is wound around the core of a transformer. Red blocks, grey bands and black-and-white workshop photos carry that technical precision through print and web.

Three windings, one letter.

01 · The mark

Wound like a coil.

The C is drawn with three parallel lines that turn around a common centre and fold back on themselves at the ends, the way copper wire is wound around the core of a transformer. The letter stays open on the right and leads the eye into "iriacono".

  1. Three windingsThree lines of equal weight, evenly spaced like the turns of a coil.
  2. One centreAll curves share the same centre, so the letter keeps a calm, engineered rhythm.
  3. Folded endsEach line turns back at the tips like a wire terminal and closes the letter without cutting it.
